How do I become a Freemason

The easiest method of starting your journey into Freemasonry as to ask anyone whom you know to be a Freemason. Someone who is already a member and who knows you can become your proposer. He will then help you with the application process. However you can also make enquiries through a Lodge website such as this one, the Provincial website for the area where you live or through the United Grand Lodge website. You can also look for your local masonic hall and enquire in writing to the Secretary.

You may belong to any ethnic group and hold your own views on politics and religion however you are expected to have a faith. You must be male and be over the age of 21. However students who are 18 or over can join one of the University Lodges under a special scheme.
