Appletreewick Village Hall Committee has received £500 towards new kitchen equipment.
The grant was made by West Riding Masonic Charities Ltd through the Provincial Grand Master’s Fund, which annually distributes around £250,000 to good causes throughout the district.
The cheque was presented by Roger Newhouse, of Craven Masonic Lodge, and charity steward Chris Fawcett.
Another cheque for £500 is due to be presented to Cononley Village Hall for fireproof curtains and other recent donations have included £5,000 to Burnsall Village Hall, £2,000 to Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association and £30,000 to Clapham based Cave Rescue Organisation.
